QELNAVOR Retreats — a room at the end of the path
The Peristyl holds a chair, a wall of shelves and a window with weather in it — insulated to novel-length sessions in January, with the task light and socket exactly where the armrest ends.
A tea house is a philosophy with a roof: proportions taken seriously, thresholds that slow you down on purpose, and joinery clean enough to hold the ritual. Ours are built by carpenters who understand that the door should sound right when it closes.

Care
Re-oil exposed timber every two to three years — one weekend, supplied oil — and clear roof gutters each autumn. Check fixings at year one, then forget them. Shingles and finials are available as spare parts; storms are repaired, not mourned.
Questions, Answered
Does it need utilities?
Power arrives by garden cable laid by a qualified electrician; water and drainage only where you choose plumbed options. Many retreats run happily on a single circuit.
What maintenance does the interior need?
Pale timber interiors want dusting and an occasional oil; floors are finished for shoes-off living. The building's care card fits on one page.
