Modern pavilions are engineering wearing restraint: powder-coated structural aluminium with concealed drainage in the posts, bioclimatic louvres that close against rain in seconds and hold under snow, and integrated LED and heating wired invisibly. Powder coat wants only water and a soft cloth. Check rubber seals each spring, keep post drains clear, and cycle the roof mechanism seasonally so wear shows early.

Panels are rated and stated per model; in storm forecasts you slide them open or shut per the manual and the structure carries the rest. Eurocode arithmetic, not optimism.
How fast do the louvres close in rain?
Rain sensors close the roof in seconds — before you reach the switch. Manual override always wins, and the motors are available as spare parts.
